I'm taking part in Steps for Lymphoma

Lymphoma Australia is the only organisation in Australia dedicated and committed solely to patients and caregivers dealing with lymphoma and CLL.

This March, alongside a community of like-minded individuals, every step I take contributes to the collective steps for the Lymphoma goal, aiming to complete a loop around Australia. By doing so, we express solidarity with and provide support to Australians facing the challenges of living with Lymphoma.

In March 2023 I found a lump in my neck and was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma. From the moment of diagnosis until beyond remission, the nurses at Lymphoma Australia were my best source of support. I was sent a care package, information packs, called them almost weekly to answer all of my questions, they provided online webinars with health professionals, I connected online/in person support groups and regularly used the nurse moderated Facebook group. As a rare blood cancer, there is not as much awareness or support around, and it is vital that Lymphoma Australia be able to continue to be a relied upon support source for patients with Lymphoma.
