I'm taking part in Steps for Lymphoma

Lymphoma Australia is the only organisation in Australia dedicated and committed solely to patients and caregivers dealing with lymphoma and CLL.

This March, alongside a community of like-minded individuals, every step I take contributes to the collective steps for the Lymphoma goal, aiming to complete a loop around Australia. By doing so, we express solidarity with and provide support to Australians facing the challenges of living with Lymphoma.

The extensive journey along the Australian coastline spans a total of 30,400,000 steps. Each step I take this March brings us closer to achieving the overarching goal. I invite you to support me on this journey in any way possible, knowing that your support directly impacts Australians navigating the complexities of Lymphoma.

Words cannot express how truly touched and thankful I am for everyone that has shared, joined and donated to this cause. Over 2 days, we’ve become the 2nd highest team and raised nearly $1,300, this wouldn’t have been possible without everyone’s love and support 🥹

STEPS for Lymphoma is a cause that’s close to my heart. Sadly, Lymphoma has affected so many of my loved ones: my fiancé Adam, my Father-in-law Adrian, my late Grandfather and most importantly my Aunty Melanie who lost her battle in 2004.💚

My heart is so full from everyone’s support. The littlest donation makes a such huge difference, even if it’s just your coffee money for the day. I can’t express the support Lymphoma Australia provides for families: it helps cover the nurses, the information sessions and free supplies provided to every patient, us included.

Our story.

Thursday 22nd Feb

Over Christmas 2023, we received the most devastating news of Adam, my fiancé’s diagnosis: Stage 2 Non-Hogkins Lymphoma. Rather than to let this news bring him down, it only made him stronger. Adam is the light in everyone’s life, the backbone in our family and the strongest most resilient person I know. I am so proud to be his partner and to support him during this time 💚

Cancer, it’s the word that can both cause so much heartache in families, and can also bring people together in strength. In both our families, we have had not 1, but 4 cases of Lymphoma over the years. And together, as a family, we’re going to raise awareness to Lymphoma, and shed light on this awful disease that affects so many lives and families.

Together we’ll beat this. 👊🏼
